What is Pixelmon?

Pixelmon is a Minecraft mod that perfectly replicates the style and mechanics of Pokémon and merges it to the world of Minecraft. Enjoy sleek looking models that replace the creatures of the world and battle your way to the top. Almost every mechanic you can think of is seamlessly implemented into the game in a way that feels natural to both Pokémon and Minecraft players.

How do you play?

When you first log onto the server, you will be given the choice between our unique starters, all of which will be shiny! After you've picked your Pokémon, you will be able to see your party in the middle left corner of your screen. You can use the 'R' button on your keyboard to send out the selected Pokémon in your party (and also retrieve them), and should you have more than one, you can use the arrow keys to shift what Pokémon is selected.

When you leave spawn and make your way into the wilderness, you will notice that all regular spawns are replaced with a huge variety of Pokémon. Should you send out your mon, and the ball were to hit one in the wild, a battle would be initiated. Battles work exactly the same as they would in any main-line game, with their signature turn based battle system. Battling is the main way to level up your team, and the server has provided you with some warps to help speed up this process.

Evolving Pokémon

For the most part, Pokémon will evolve in the exact same fashion as they do in the games, via levelling, item, or trading. Almost all evolution items can be found throughout the world, either via resources found whilst mining or obtained when defeating bosses that spawn randomly near players. In terms of trading, there are trading machines that can be either built or found in spawn that trigger the evolution requirements. Pokémon can be traded an infinite amount of times, so if you wanted to evolve a Pokémon without giving it away, you could trade it back with someone you trust.

What can you do on the server?

The best thing about Pixelmon is that it's both the fun of Minecraft and Pokémon! You're still able to go off into the wild and build your own creations, as well as mine and farm resources to your hearts content. However our server offers a wide variety of things you wouldn't find on a singleplayer map. Such as a battle tower to test your strength and earn rewards, and a built in Global trade station that can be used to sell Pokémon and items through an auction house style shop that is controlled by you, the player! On top of that, there are also linear gyms that have a capped level and can be fought to earn yourself gym badges and more. The server itself will also be hosting player run events every now and again with fun and unique prizes in order to get everyone involved and acquainted!
